Paula Phelan FCIPD
With over 20 years’ experience working in the world of HR Paula has a breadth of experience providing solutions for her clients.
Paula has worked with large and small organisations in various stages of their business cycle and held senior level HR positions developing HR strategy, leading and managing organisation development projects, introducing initiatives to improve morale and dealing with complex staffing issues.
Paula is passionate about HR, adding value to businesses of all sizes and is proactive in evolving the people plans to align with the aims and goals of the business.
Emma Sheppard FCIPD
During Emma’s 15-year career in training and HR she has developed a keen interest in working with growing SME’s. Emma is able to effectively collaborate with company leaders to ensure they retain their culture and produces HR solutions which are the foundations for growth.
Emma is hugely enthusiastic about all aspects of working with people and aims to create positive and innovative people management improvements which align with her clients’ strategy and values. Because Emma is working with businesses large and small, and within a variety of industries and locations she is able to use her experience to create bespoke solutions which makes a positive difference to her clients.
By having the support of an HR professional with extensive experience in employee relations issues, change management programmes, team building, restructures and creating tailor made systems and processes, Emma’s clients are confident that she is adding value by reducing pressure on the workforce so they can devote their time and energies into the operations of their business.
Imogen Templeton-Crosby MCIPD
Imogen joined PSHR in January 2023, having started her career as an HR Coordinator in 2012. Imogen has experience of working in a variety of HR roles within Financial Services and Agriculture and is passionate about working with people and understanding their businesses.
Imogen is a fully CIPD qualified generalist, however, has specialised experience in Talent Management, Leadership Development and Apprenticeships. Imogen is a working parent and enjoys walking and the gym, when she finds the time!
Sarah Hiscox MCIPD
Sarah joined PSHR in January 2024, having most recently worked as Head of HR for a large global agricultural machinery company. In her HR career which has spanned over 20 years, she has also worked in food manufacturing and private healthcare. Having started her career as an HR Assistant, and studying for her CIPD qualifications while she worked, Sarah has gained experience right from the administration basics, up to working as part of a senior management team and board of directors.
Although Sarah has always worked as an HR Generalist, she has significant experience in recruitment, consultation and change management. Sarah is passionate about employee engagement, linking this to vision and brand. She firmly believes that employees need to be able to see clearly how their role and performance fits and adds value to the business. She also believes that companies have a responsibility to be an active part of the community in which they operate, and again, this can be a motivator for employees as we as a retention tool.
Outside of the office, Sarah enjoys country walks with her dog, eating good food which has preferably been cooked by someone else, reading and crochet.
Louise Johnson MCIPD
Louise joined PSHR in April 2024, bringing with her a robust background in HR operations and management gained from her tenure at a prominent electrical company, where she managed HR operations across multiple divisions.
During her time in the industry, Louise showcased her adeptness in managing HR operations across various divisions, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to excellence. Her dedication to professional growth led her to pursue her CIPD qualification while effectively balancing her day-to-day responsibilities. One of Louise’s notable achievements includes her instrumental role in growing her previous company from a modest count to over 250 employees. Her expertise in recruitment and retention underscores her understanding of the importance of aligning employees with the overarching vision and long-term strategy of the company.
Louise is dedicated about growing and supporting businesses by attending to all their HR requirements.
Beyond her professional endeavours, Louise finds joy in exploring new destinations through travel, enjoying leisurely country walks with her dog, and staying active through running and fitness activities.
Laura Sutton Assoc. CIPD
Laura joined PSHR in March 2024, having made a career change from management in the food retail sector. Throughout her career Laura has developed her skills in leadership, people practice and change management. With a keen eye for detail, Laura believes that aligning an organisation’s policies and procedures to their core values and behaviours will create a positive culture for their people and a sustainable business. Laura intends to continue her professional development and build on her experience while working with PSHR.
Laura has a young family and loves to spend time exploring the outside with them on country walks.
Michelle Wall
Michelle’s career started in hospitality whereby she covered a variety of roles. After joining a large, national coffee shop chain as Office Manager, she progressed to overseeing the HR processes. She thrived in this environment and took the opportunity to develop her skills in various areas of senior management.
One area that Michelle particularly enjoyed was learning about HR, which lead her to take the role with PSHR. Michelle will be expanding her current knowledge, experience and skills within HR, learning and development, project work, drafting policies and procedures and supporting through employee relations issues. She is looking forward to supporting the team, commencing her CIPD qualifications and getting on the road to attaining her goal of becoming a HR Consultant.
Michelle loves to read and crochet, as well as enjoying good food and wine with family and friends.
Chrissey Pollen
Chrissey joined PSHR in July 2024, having most recently worked as HR Manager for a leading nationwide transport company. Chrissey’s HR career has spanned over 20 years, beginning her HR career as a HR Administrator for a leading nationwide logistics company in Ashby de la Zouch.
Chrissey is a fully CIPD qualified HR generalist with an LLM in Employment Law.
Her passion for HR comes from being able to make a difference to people and to ensure everyone is treated with fairness and respect. Chrissey is passionate about ensuring a diverse and inclusive culture and ensuring fairness and transparency when dealing with employee relations issues.
Out of the office Chrissey enjoys walks with her two dogs, travelling (particularly to Greece), spending time with her family and enjoys cooking.
Tom Phelan
Tom uses his experience to foster strong client relationships. His role is pivotal in driving new business initiatives and ensuring our clients stay well-informed about the latest HR trends and changes in employment law.
He is dedicated to keeping our valued clients updated through insightful email campaigns and engaging social media content, ensuring they are always in the know about the hottest topics in HR.
Tom's commitment to excellence and his proactive approach make him an invaluable asset to our team.
